This is a great article into the mind of digg, and it's users... I will definitely be applying many of the techniques listed here into my attempts to get dugg outta my mind. :)

well whosoever wrote this story did it with only one intention. To make to the front page of digg.
Even if it required to include bogus news like making more friends at digg could take u somewhere.
BTW the digg has removed the option of friends digging friends stories.

Sure it sounds like a great buzz ... until the mob hits your site all at once and takes it down, leaving nothing behind but a few weird comments and a handful of site-scraps and low-PR links ;)
